If you want to make your account as much comfortable for using as possible, you should consider applying new Hotmail attachment options as well as connecting your account to the accounts of cloud services. This is a fairly pleasant feature from Hotmail, and you can be sure that it will be easily arranged and within several minutes. In order to make it easier and quicker for you, we have prepared the instructions below. Just follow the guide and enjoy a better experience with Hotmail!
On this page, you are able to change the settings of Hotmail attachment; instead of choosing how you want to attach the files every time, you can specify it here
Step 1. Open your browser and use it for entering the following website: http://msn.com/.
Step 2. Once you have entered Microsoft’s MSN, click on “Outlook.com” in the menu of available programs.
Step 3. On Hotmail’s main webpage, enter your email address and password. Click on the “Sign in” button.
Step 4. On your account’s page, find the button of settings in the right-upper corner. Click on that button.
Step 5. In the newly opened menu, select “Options.”
Here you can connect your Hotmail account to the one in a cloud storage, such as Dropbox
Step 6. Now, you will get to see a menu of options on the left side. There, go to Mail > Attachment options > Attachment preferences. Here, you can specify the attachment preferences of yours, namely:
- Files I choose from my computer. When you attach a particular file from the computer, the system asks you how you want to attach them: as OneDrive files, or as copies. If you always click on the same option and you are tired of that, just select the setting that suits you. If you attach them as OneDrive files, for instance, you have to select the second setting: “Always attach them as OneDrive files.”
- Files I choose from OneDrive. Here, it is going about the same. Choose a respective option.
- Warn me when I send a message that may be missing an attachment. If you will keep this setting selected, it means that you will receive a notification every time you are writing an email letter without an attachment. If you do not need that, just unselect this setting.
Step 7. Once you have configured everything in this section, click on the “Save” button.
Step 8. Now, go to Mail > Attachment options > Storage accounts (one section lower).
Click on the “Allow” button, and you will synchronize your Hotmail account with Dropbox
Step 9. On this page, you are able to connect your account to an account in Dropbox or box (cloud services). For instance, you wish to add a Dropbox account. In order to do that, you must be logged in to it in your PC/laptop. Then, click on the “Add Dropbox” icon.
Step 10. In the pop-up window, click on the “Allow” button.
Step 11. Now, you have your accounts attached. If you want to disconnect them again, click on the red “Remove” button, next to the icon of Dropbox. That is how you are able to use Hotmail attachment settings.
